DIY Night Lights!

I love crafty things and plus I was on the broke side during christmas and discovered a DIY project to give as gifts. I didnt make one for myself but one day I am going too.  If you by chance have some extra wine bottles laying around the house then try this nifty project out! I made these crafty night lights for my dad and step-sisters for christmas and boy were they a big hit. My stepmom added to hers and but some decor in them like the tall things you put in the vase in a corner or something (I had a brain fart and couldnt think of what they are called). :(

what you need:
1 wine bottle (green or clear, I used green)
1 strand of 12ft christmas lights (clear)
3 ribbons (what ever design you want)

Instructions:
I wrote the initial on mine first or you can put whatever on yours such as just leaving the label on it.
stuff the lights down in the bottle
tie ribbon around neck of bottle

These are super easy to make and a great gift to give. They are cheap to make but look like an expensive gift and something that looks like it took a long time to make. Have fun being crafty and let me know how they work out for yall or if you have any ideas!

I love crafty ideas and trying new things especially when Im bored and have nothing to do at home. If any of you have sny ideas or DIY projects I could attempt, then let me know! :)

XOXO,
Kendall

My other half

My Other Half, Dusty
I want to introduce my fellow bloggers to the wonderful man in my life. Dusty and I met 4 years ago on a blind date and its been going steady since. Dusty is the total opposite from what I was looking for in a guy when I was in high school but it is almost scary how well we get along and complete each other. Dusty is 22 years old (red head) who works 2nd shift and it sucks! He is very stubborn but I wouldnt change anything about him because it makes him, him. He is probably one of the goofiest people I know but it super smart but doesnt like to show it. He just has something about him that makes me have butterflies in my stomach like a school girl who has a crush. I honestly do not know what I would do without him. He is my best friend, my world, and now my fiancé (Who I love dearly). Our relationship has been one heck of a journey but without the strength from each other we would have never made it. We have had our ups and our downs (because dusty is hard headed) but I love him to the moon and back. I am so glad to have him in my life even though we hardly get to see each other. Dusty is in love with his XBOX so when we get married I am going to have to marry the XBOX and his best friend Kelton. Well that's enough rambling about Dusty for now because I am pretty sure I will talk more about him. It is just nice to finally know that I have found my prince charming to have that fairy tale ending with.

XOXO,
Kendall

Lazy Day

What better to do on a rainy day than be LAZY! I have not left the house but once today and it felt amazing. I forgot how great it feels to stay home and be lazy. I was so lazy dusty had me watching South Park....Shoot me!!!!! With nothing really to wow y'all with today I want to share a little recipe! THis is a great recipe to take to a Holiday Party or just to have around the house. Hope yall enjoy!
I attempted to make it but I added too much Chocolate so dont use to Hershey Nuggets. But they are still YUMMY!

Aunt Cindy's Bark

 Ingredients:
35 Saltine Crackers
Hershey Chocolate Bars (usually pack of 8 in candy Isle)
1 cup packed Light Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla Flavoring
1 cup or either 2 sticks Butter

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Bring b. Sugar and Butter to a boil then add vanilla flavoring.
Lay crackers on a baking pan that has been sprayed with pam (salty side up)
Pour b. sugar, butter, and vanilla mixture over the crackers
Bake for 6 minutes or until crackers look done
While cooling and right out of oven lay a square of chocolate on each cracker.

Hope you enjoy...They are my favorite and I can attempt to make them but they are not as good as my Aunt Cindy's. I think I am just a cooker not a baker or I just dont have Cindy's touch. Let me know how they turn out for you if you try them. I promise they will be a big hit!

Have a Fabulous Saturday Night!

What a Day

Today was an interesting day because I got to hang with the most amazing lady ever, my Memaw! She is such a wonderful little lady, literally! If I could choose anybody to be my role model she def tops the list. I am for sure a Memaw's girl and I love every minute of it.

told you she was a little lady!

The day started out by leaving Miley and Hank at my daddy's house. As I was walking out the door, Miley plopped to the floor and began to look at me with sad sad puppy eyes. It broke my heart but I explained to her that I was late to the dentist. While at the dentist I got told that I was a gorgeous little girl. That comment made me feel like I was 2 but Hey I will take it :). I also learned that I have to have two wisdom teeth taken out...YIKES!!!! Then I wondered to the Eye doctor where I got my eyes Dilated....WEIRD. It was like I started out crying then I could see then all of a sudden everything was blurry. It was like being drunk without all the side effects, ha ha ha ha. The funniest part of the day was that the nurse asked me if I drank and Memaw being a sweet lil lady said yea she does, we just drank some tea at Zaxbys. Bless her heart, that made my day. But Im still worried about getting my wisdom teeth out...I hate surgery!
Now I'm going to worry about getting my Wisdom Teeth out!
Dusty told me that he cant wait to see how I feel because people tell him
it feels like you have been hit by a truck. Great boyfriend, huh????

So now as I sit in the apt snuggling up with Hankie Pankie thinking about my day, I would not have changed anything about today! Have a great rest of this cold Hump Day!

Meet My Loves

I wanted to introduce y'all to my precious puppies, well at least one is precious and the other is 20% of the time. Ha.  These 2 have me wrapped around their little paws. Having them is so stressful at times but it makes life so much fun!

Miley LeAnne :)
She is a year old Jack Russell who is my beautiful little girl. She is a mommy's little girl and she does not mind letting people know it. A lot of people say she is a little witch but she is just very particular about people She is my little girl but she loves her daddy to death. If Dusty walks in the room nobody else exists. She definitely has us wrapped around her little paws.

Miles loves dressing up, well I love dressing her up!

Hankie Pank!
He is a 6 month old lab and boy is his ALL  puppy. Dusty literally had a breakdown one day because he wanted a puppy and it either had to be a Great Dane or a Chocolate Lab, and I DID NOT want a horse. Hank is a loving (BIG) boy who loves to cuddle. He is the best sleeping buddy ever. He loves kids and gets so excited when my nieces come to spend the night with us. He sleeps on the pallet with them, its precious.  I cant wait for Hank to grow up and be that best friend Dusty wants in a dog. Hank loves his big sister Miley. The scary part is he thinks he is Mileybug's size, which means running under stuff and jumping on top of things (not a good thing, but its funny)

Hank's First Halloween and He was  Prince Charming (Frog form)

We would not trade our dogs for anything in the world, well sometimes I consider it when Hank is annoying. They help keep us company especially me when Dusty is working his long hours at work. For them to be from two different breeds of dogs, they get along (for the most part) really good. Sometimes I do have to watch Hank because he will drag poor Miley down the hallway by her harness. Hope y'all enjoy the pictures and I promise I will keep more coming to keep you updated on them :)

Have a Great Tuesday!

My Weekend: Semi Formal 2010

Me and the Birthday Boy!

So this past weekend, I was supposed to have the weekend of my life. It was Dusty's 22nd birthday and we had made all these plans to go to Charleston. We love Charleston and Dusty talks about going to the Saloon on Market street all the time. So I planned on taking him so he would have a fabulous birthday that he would never forget. But of course Dusty's work schedule decided to be a party poopper! Incase of a mishap like this I had other plans. It was my sororities Semi Formal which I was scared to tell Dusty about because the last function he went to of mine it ended horrible, like puke and Mardi Gras style bad (well for me at least). So I scrambled to find something to wear and all I had in my closet was a target dress that my lil sister, Gabbe, said was NOT dressy enough. Gabbe ended up dressing me from head to toe for the night. I had more compliments on my outfit than I have ever gotten before. Maybe Gabbe needs to dress me more often. My attire consisted of an orange Lauren Conrad dress, gold heels, gold bangles, and gold earrings, and of course the infamous Lauren Conrad Braid and bun to the side. So here is to Gabbe, Thank you Little for making me presentable and making me feel beautiful. Needless to say we ended up going and we both had a blast, imagine that Dusty having fun?! We danced the night away in style.  I have never Wopped or Wobbled so much in my life but it was so much fun. My sisters even pitched in to sing Happy Birthday to Dusty. What a weekend I had and it would have not been the same without the great memories made with my sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha.
Before Semi-Formal 2010

See, I was getting it and take a look at my attire!
